1. This development will create more than 4500 permanent jobs. These jobs will be suited to everyone (professional, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, full-time or part-time capacity) and the average wage will be $17 per hour. Do you agree this will be good for Barriešs economy?

2. According to the Urban Land Institute "lifestyle centres are proven magnets for high-tech companies˛. Would you agree that a mixed-use ŗlifestyle˛ centre combining retail, entertainment, hospitality, and industrial will be good for Barrie.

3. Shopping centres are the number one tourist destinations in Canada and Ontario. Park Place, with such entertainment and retail facilities located on highway 400 will bring valuable tourism to Barrie.

4. The south end of Barrie around highway 400 has been plagued with traffic problems for years. Would you agree that a $4 million direct investment and $16 million in development charge fees from the Park Place development would help solve these traffic problems?

5. Park Place Barrie will generate $16 million in development charge fees and contribute approximately $10 million annually to the municipal tax base. Do you agree this will benefit Barriešs economic development and its residents?

6. Barrie is home to the fourth busiest retail sector in Canada and if we want to stay that way we have to remain competitive. As a region, we do not currently offer many of the amenities that Park Place will bring to Barrie. When Park Place opens, Barrie will regain some of the local shopping dollars currently leaking to Toronto.
